Ventrilo crashing while playing Counter-Strike: Source?
For almost a year I used Ventrilo while playing cs:s without any problems. About a week ago, while in-game, vent would auto minimize my game and would come up with a error message saying “Ventrilo by Flagship has encountered a problem and needs to close.” I’ve found the txt log file that it gave me, but I’m not sure what to do with it. I’ve tried renaming my Ventrilo folder so that the program goes through the initial startup process again. I’ve also tried uninstalling and reinstalling. None of these things have worked. I’m getting very frustrated with this because I play in a couple different gaming leagues and it is interferring with my team contribution and annoying my teamates when I’m disconnecting and reconnecting to the vent server every 6-10 minutes during a match. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I think vent is having problems with their clients and servers. Whenever I play City of Heroes/Villains it always lags and kicks me off the server.
