Vehicle Release: How to obtain a vehicle release for a towed vehicle?
You must obtain a written authorization of release from the Miami Township Police Department before obtaining the vehicle from the towing/wrecker service. To obtain the written release form you must complete the vehicle release form available HERE, provide a photo ID and proof of ownership (i.e. Title or Memorandum Title). Titles that are signed over, but not executed through the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, are not acceptable. Vehicle registration is not acceptable proof of ownership.
