You can increase the timeout value by opening the Properties dialog from the scanner menu and increasing the Scan Start (sec): value. Keep in mind however, if you increase this value, then you will also have to increase the Page Timeout value which must be larger than the Scan Timeout value. Open the Options dialog from the Scanner menu and increase the Page Timeout (secs) value.
