Using the Cut and Paste functions in the Edit menu is not very convenient. Is there an easier way to cut, copy or move a portion of an image?

UP offers a lot more convenient and flexible way to cut and paste objects than the standard Cut and Paste functions: using brushes. First you must select the area you want to cut with one of the selection tools (these can be found under the ‘Cut rectangle’ icon on the left toolbar – just hold down the left mouse button on it for a while to make a group of other icons appear). When you have the selection, choose Get selection from the Brush menu. Your brush becomes the selected area. Now you can put it anywhere you like, even on a different image.
