Using Mulberry, how can I find someones name and email address using their User ID (login-name)?
First you need to configure Mulberry to show User IDs in address searches (you only need to do this once): • Open the File menu and choose Preferences (on an Apple Mac, just click the Mulberry menu). • Select Advanced. • Select the Accounts panel. • Select LDAP from the Account menu bar. • Open the Attributes1 sub-panel and make sure the Name box contains the word cn, the Email box contains mail and the Nick-Name box contains uid. • Click Save Default and then click OK. Now you need to set up your Address Search window to show the correct information (again, this only needs doing once): • Open the Address menu and choose Search For Addresses. • Set the Find Items menu bar to ‘Using LDAP’. • Set the search criteria to Nick-Name and Is (choose from the two menu bars below the Find Items bar). To search for someone, enter a User ID in the box and it should show the person’s name and email-address in the search results window.
