Using credit cards in China?
Yes, you can use credit cards in China especially in hotels and restaurants. The establishments do charge an overseas transaction fee but that is very modest. But outside major hotel chains using credit cards is a complicated affair. The stores are always suspicious of the signatures. There are lots of ATMs around. So withdrawing RMB for cash transactions is not difficult.
