Using a SCADA/PLC to position the valve, how accurate does the valve control the flow and is it repeatable?

We have installations that control the flow within 5 GPM at 550 GPM flow rate without surging. On repeatability this falls within the dead band zone established by the SCADA unit. Should the flow rate move beyond the dead band zone due to surges or other system changes the valve will automatically adjust and return to its set position.
