Use of Illinois, Illini and UIUC in Organization Name – Can registered organizations include official University terms in their name?
§ 2-303 Requirements for Registration (a)(1). The name of the organization must not be preceded by “University of Illinois,” UIUC, or any abbreviation thereof. The title “at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign,” “at UIUC”, or any abbreviation thereof, may follow the organization’s particular name. Illini and Illinois may be used in the organization’s name.
