• The camera needs to be inline or at right angles to the motion. If you are looking to measure angles, distances or wanting to look at one body part relative to another the person MUST be at right angles or inline with the camera. If you are not at right angles to the motion you will get perspective errors in your measurements. Remember the tools in the siliconcoach software will let you measure angles or draw lines to compare one body part to another, BUT just because you can does not mean it is correct!!! • The person of interest should take up most of the screen. The larger the person is in the video clip the more accuracy you will be able to see important points and make measurements etc. • Set the shutter speed as high as possible. If you camera has the ability to control the shutter speed, this should be set as high as possible given the amount of light you have (see below).
