US Politics: Does the composition of the NSC have to reflect the ideology of the Executive?
Personnel within the NSC serve at “the will and pleasure of the President”…. and, in this, are usually aligned very closely with the views of that office. They are very closely in line with the State Department and with the Office of Homeland Security… and, have the almost impossible job of making sense of the various policies and procedures in the works of those agencies as well ….
