US Airways plane carrying 155 people crashed into New Yorks Hudson River, Was it the taliban? ?
No – the airliner hit a flock of birds soon after take off – a bird strike, I think is the term, which causes engine shut-down, in this case both engines, port and starboard. Lucky for the passengers, the pilot [who’s name I forgot to write down] is a former fighter pilot and also an expert on plane crash investigations. In effect, the best guy to have at the wheel when something goes wrong. Airliners are not designed to land on water and they usually break up on impact resulting in huge loss of life among passengers and crew alike. This particular crash [ditching] into the Hudson river was observed by thousands of New Yorkers from their apartment and office building windows overlooking the Hudson River. Almost immediately, ferry boats, which ply the Hudson between NYC and New Jersey, were on the scene picking up the passengers who were out on the wings waiting for rescue. A miracle has happened in New York and we must thank God for his mercy.
