Upon request, can an ALC employee replace oxygen equipment for a client?
A. Yes. However, the ALC employee cannot turn on/off the flow of oxygen, nor recalibrate or adjust any concentration levels, because those functions would constitute a health service, as defined in KRS 216B.015. BP. It is recommended that ALC employees should be generally aware of what would otherwise constitute a health service, as defined in KRS 216B.015, and appropriate storage when performing this function.
