Although the downstream speeds of the Internet have increased dramatically in the past couple of years, upstream speeds are still a bottleneck to overcome. Those customers whose upstream speeds are less than 1.5 mbs are prime candidates for CD archiving. Those customers whose upstream speeds are greater than 1.5 mbs are prime candidates for DVD-R archiving.
