up without supervision – what facilities are provided?
When a research student transfers to writing-up without supervision the only University facilities they are entitled to is access to their BUCS email account, as long as the student registers. Students with this mode of attendance/method of study are not allowed to use library facilities. The writing-up without supervision fee is a one-off payment, so therefore no refunds are given if the student submits their thesis within the academic year the fee is being paid.
