Up & Go Energize contains vitamin A. Is it suitable for pregnant women?
Up & Go Energize has been developed to provide similar nutrition to a bowl of Weet-Bix and milk. As milk naturally provides a source of vitamin A, Up & Go Energize contains added vitamin A to a level similar to dairy milk. Pregnant women are advised to avoid very high levels of vitamin A, such as those found in supplements or some offal meats, as it can be toxic to the unborn baby. However, it is not necessary to avoid foods that naturally contain vitamin A, such as dairy milk. Therefore, the vitamin A content of Up & Go Energize is an appropriate level for pregnant women, and Up & Go Energize therefore is suitable/safe for pregnant women to consume.
