Check out the man page for shutdown, you can tell it to come back up in an init state that is the open boot prompt, also check out the halt and init commands, again the man pages might be helpful. I do not have a system I can try these on, however from memory I am pretty sure reading these man pages will help. Michael mciaccio@houston.rr.
