Unitemized/Itemized Receipts: How do I show the cash I received at the fundraiser dinner and the garage sale? Must I always list names and addresses?
Record the name and mailing address of every person making contributions in excess of ten dollars, and the date and amount of the contribution. The remaining contributions may be recorded, both internally and on the disclosure report, as “unitemized.” (The terms “cash” and “miscellaneous” should not be used on the report because that does not necessarily indicate “unitemized.”) When completing the disclosure report, use the schedule of reporting in 68A.402A (over $25 for PACs, over $50 for county party committees, or over $200 for state party committees) to determine which of the contributors of more than $10 must be listed individually on the disclosure report. If using the Web Reporting System, you would create a contact called “unitemized” and enter n/a in the address and city fields. Use this “unitemized” contact for lump sums of unitemized, such as a pass-the-hat or fundraiser receipts when individuals paid $10 or less. For contributors of more than $10 but less than your itemizat
