Under what conditions is an applicant not accepted?
We prayerfully consider all applicants and the information submitted. If we have concerns, we generally follow up with the reference person and/or directly with the applicant. An application will not be accepted if there is evidence of ongoing sin (ie use of non-prescription drugs, immoral sexual activity, etc,), if there is evidence of an unteachable attitude or resistance to following authority/leadership, or if there is evidence that the applicant is not in agreement with our ministry philosophy and practices. Some projects (like East Asia / North Africa) necessitate a higher level of training and maturity – an applicant may not be accepted to one of these projects, but encouraged to attend an alternative project.
