UK size 14-16 and with biggish boobs. Would I have difficulty finding clothes in Japan?

No, despite the popular image of Japan, there are enough well-endowed women around to ensure that you will find clothes that will fit. You may sometimes have to look for clothes in the M-L range, but otherwise, it should be all right. I have friends with similar builds to yours and they have no problem. If anything, some say it’s easier than finding clothes that fit them back home. The advantage of living in a country where the average women is around 5’2″ is that clothing tends to be made to fit that height while size variation is expressed by increasing the just the width of the clothes rather than the length as well (as they tend to do in Western countries). Now, honestly, if you’re into cosplay, you might have some problems. Those clothes tend to be made for very, very skinny people.

I think you might have trouble. I mean, sure, you’re a good height for Japanese clothes, but the large ladies clothing is very often unfashionable, generally loose and somewhat flared, and usually decorated with inappropriate and unsightly (to me) frills, lace, Engrish, etc. and much of it looks like they made it for your granny. Especially if your bust is large you may well find you have to buy a 3 or 4 L just to get it round your chest, which means it’ll hang really weirdly. That doesn’t mean you won’t find anything here, but I’d recommend that you bring just enough clothes with you for your visit to be on the safe side. Only just enough though, as you’ll probably find something you want, but not enough to fill your wardrobe.
