ISA’s should be your first investment place as a small saver. They are tax-free. You can purchase a maximum of £3,600 each year. Barclays were “top of the pops” about 3 months ago, but I’ve not looked lately. Search the web for the best at the moment ones. If you have ongoing investments, an IFA (Independent Financial Advisor) is worth what he costs.

Higher interest often means higher risk – not a good choice at the moment! Think Government bonds, or something like that. Talk to a couple of banks and building societies, see what they offer. If you can afford it, talk to an independent financial adviser.
