UK Only Please: Where can I buy inexpensive wheat and dairy free products?

Yes, rice cakes are horrible. Never touch them myself. I recommend replacing them with Corn Thins by Real Foods Pty (not the multigrain variety), which are cheap, tasty and gluten free. In stores in my area they are generally on the ordinary shelves not the free from section. But most gluten free products just are expensive. It’s much more difficult to make an acceptable product without wheat etc., the ingredients are more expensive than wheat, and we’re a captive market. If you’re in the UK, look out for Mrs Crimbles brand products, which may be on the normal shelves or in the free from section, they are lovely, and not overpriced. Orgran pasta is not cheap compared to normal, but at least it tastes pretty good, which is more than you can say for most gluten free pasta. Orgran are entirely gluten free, and they sell a wide range of other products, which I’ve heard are pretty good, though I’ve really only tried their pasta. Remember that you can also use unprocessed meat, fish, non-blu
