Uh, what did you think about the original Huggy Bear?
Snoop: I used to race home from school to watch “Starsky and Hutch”. I thought Huggy was cool. He was a cool dude. He was fly. I just don’t think that he was able to do what I’ve been able to pull off in this movie. I just wanted to stretch out and take it to the next level. Because this is a new era. Back in the ’70’s, they really wouldn’t permit him to say too much. He just had to play along with their game. On this movie, Todd Phillips (the director) let me come and add my flava to Huggy Bear the way he thought I could do with the hair, the fingernails, outfits, the jewelry, bringing my own car to the set, the whole nine. TeenHollywood: You are cooler than Huggy was back in the day. He was a little nerdy. Snoop: Yeah but I think that’s the way they made him. But if you see him (Antonio Fargas) in all his other movies other than that, he was sharp. T.V. was T.V. back then. This is a movie so I’m able to stretch it.
