UCAS have introduced a new procedure called Extra, how does it work?

0

The purpose of Extra is to give applicants who have used all six choices, but are holding no offers, the opportunity of making a further application, or applications, and receiving an offer before results are published and Clearing starts. Extra vacancies will appear on the UCAS web site and eligible applicants will automatically receive Extra information, giving more details of how to use the system. Institutions are able to make conditional, unconditional and reject decisions on Extra applications, and applicants will be able to decline the offer. An applicant who is unsuccessful or declines an offer is able to make a further application or applications within the time period that this procedure operates.
