No. You only have to purchase one of the two books, either the text only version or the version with added supplements. Books with added supplements (packages) may be more than the text book by itself. Due to publisher policies, certain components of a package may not be available for purchase seperately. For example: A Biology text only and a Biology w/CD are both marked as required. They are the same book. You have the choice to buy just the book (text only version) or the book with an accompanying CD.
