Trying to install Lookeen I got an Error reading 1603 – Verify that the file exists and that you can access it., what should I do?
Please check this first: Is the “User Account Control” (UAC) deactivated? Please turn this on. Go to Start/Run, and type in “msconfig”. Click on enter. In “Tools”, look for the option Enable User Account Control mark this and click on “launch”. Youll need to restart your computer. If this doesnt end in a correct installation of Lookeen, please try to change the read/write/hide/run attributes for the folder C:\windows\assembly (or equivalent) and for the folder in which the files Setup.exe and Lookeen.msi are located. The HRESULT value you are seeing means “access denied”. You may be missing some required security permissions for c:\windows\assembly or some other folders under \windows\. Could you try to check the permissions of the \windows\ folder and make sure that both System and Administrator have full control. Then select the “Advanced” button and select the check box to propagate these permissions to all child objects. Then try to install again and hopefully this problem will be
