Tropic Thunder Vs. Pineapple Express; Which was Better?
Tropic Thunder (8/13/2008) vs. Pineapple Express (8/6/2008) I am a dumb movie buff and self proclaimed expert of comedies. I had to see both movies on their opening days. I was much more pumped to see Tropic Thunder than Pineapple Express. Tropic Thunder has an amazing cast of actors and had great trailers. Here is a breakdown of the two movies, and which one you should watch, if not both. To not sound redundant I will use abbreviations for the two movies (T.T.=Tropic Thunder, P.E.=Pineapple Express). Budget Tropic Thunder: $70 Million est. Pineapple Express: $27 Million Analysis: You can see the money in T.T. with a lot of explosions and special effects, maybe a little more then was needed. P.E. uses their budget very well, you don’t think of it being a low budget movie. If you like the big movie feel, then you have to give the edge to T.T.
