Transmission fluid in coolant – is the problem seals in transmission or radiator?

There should be no way for transmission fluid to get into your coolant. I believe what you are seeing in your coolant is much more likely to be engine oil, not transmission fluid. Generally speaking, engine oil and coolant wind up mixing when the head gasket in the car is damaged. This is a *serious* issue. If you’re mechanically inclined you can replace the gasket yourself, providing that the head isn’t warped. If the head is warped it’ll need to be machined. You can tell if the head is straight by taking a metal straightedge ruler and laying edgewise on the mating surface of the head. You want to do the same to the block. If you’re not mechanically inclined then you need to get it into a shop pronto.
