Ghent and Brugge are on the same line to Oostende/Knokke/Blankenberge and these trains start at Brussels Nord train station then travelling through Gare Central and then Gare du Midi (South Train Station). In Ghent train station Gent St Pieters is the closest to the city centre. In Bruges get off at Bruges Train Station. You cannot book a seat on local trains.
