Traffic lights – Who is responsible for them?

0

Fixed roadside traffic lights are the property and responsibility of the Local Council (Highways Department) any faults should be reported to them. Temporary traffic lights are the responsibility of the owner/contractor who is carrying out the road works. Faults with these lights will have to be directed to the owner/contractor of the equipment. The name and telephone number of the owner of the temporary lights should be clearly displayed on the equipment (both on lights and generators).
