14a ) What does NOA mean? NOA means NO Allowance or Finished Sizes. Essentially, when measurements are submitted, they are deemed to have been taken directly from the body (unless otherwise specified) and so need additional allowances from 0.5 inches to 6 inches, for comfort of movement. Such allowances for comfort depend on the overall size of the wearer and the style of the garment chosen as well as the type of garment ordered. Therefore when the acronym NOA is used, it is used to denote that a particular number is the Finished Measurement of the relevant dimension/area of the garment. A 42 NOA for the waist of the pants, means that the actual waist of the pants has been finished at 42 inches, and so on. When you see an NOA size in your measurements portfolio, this indicates that the finished size of the relevant dimension is the indicated number.
