One of the objectives of the new marine program is to standardize the format, timing, and content of marine forecasts and warnings. To accomplish this there have been some regional changes. Although, in some cases, forecast issue times have changed, they will still contain current information. In the event of a change in forecast conditions for any marine area, an updated forecast for the marine area will be issued. This will ensure that the latest marine forecast information will be available to mariners regardless of initial issue time.
