• Connect the external GPS to the Palm or PocketPC. • Click GPS->Configure GPS. Select the port and baud rate that fits your GPS connection (serial, CF, or Bluetooth). Most serial cable GPSes use Port 0 (cradle port) and Baud Rate 4800. Some use higher rates. For CF GPSes, check the manufacturer’s documentation or contact us at mapadvisor@cox.net and provide your PDA and CF GPS brand and model. • Click Start Test. If the settings are correct, incoming data should be displayed in the text box. If not, click Stop Test, change settings, and try again. • Click Stop, Save, Close to exit the dialog. Settings will be stored so you don’t have to repeat this procedure.
