A move to the H Sci managed IASTATE domain provides many benefits for all the users within CHS. These benefits include: • The CHS faculty and staff will have access to 5 GB of personal storage space on a new, larger file server (P drive) • Access to 300GB of collaborative departmental storage space on a second file server (U drive) • Access to 2TB (2000GB) of departmental storage space on a Network Area Storage (NAS) device • 1 GB of personal storage space available via AFS (university owned file server) • Additional storage space is available for a rental fee of $1.70 per month per GB • AFS is not installed by default during the migration process but is accessible on the new domain and available upon request • CHS IT will be able to easily manage computers and deploy software remotely using System Management Software • CHS IT will be able to remotely assist users with computer issues using Remote Assistance • You will be able to logon to any computer on campus using just your ISU Net-
