The Policy applies to all peer-reviewed journal manuscripts. The Policy does not apply to non-peer-reviewed materials such as correspondence, book chapters, and editorials.

The Policy applies to all final peer-reviewed journal manuscripts meeting the criteria described at http://publicaccess.nih.gov/determine_applicability.htm, regardless of the content or category of the paper (e.g. review, primary research, invited paper).
