The on-street paper recycling bins have been provided to offer a convenient recycling collection service to residents who are not able to take advantage of the kerbside recycling collection service. If you are not able to easily access the network of Recycling Centres and Points to recycle excess cardboard from your property you can use the on-street paper bins provided that: • you do not use space that is needed by the residents for whom the service is provided • your tear large cardboard to fit into the bin • you do not litter the pavement or road with cardboard boxes • you do not leave plastic bags in, or around the on-street paper bins Under no circumstances should residents with a wheeled-bin collection use ANY on-street refuse bin to dispose of their excess refuse. This is illegal and if caught you could be fined.
