Otuya: Where you will always have problems is the engine room because it is the heart of the dredge. It’s like a man and his heart. If your heart is not functioning well, there is no way you can be a healthy man. Another thing is we have to look at the environment. A lot of people go out there to Europe, pick anything (dredge) they see, by the time they bring an engine that is not common to people in this part of the world, it becomes a problem to maintain such an engine. But if you buy a dredge that has a brand name in the engine like Caterpillar, MAN Diesel, Rolls Royce, do you have the representatives of these companies here in Nigeria? Like Caterpillar is a household name here in Nigeria, anywhere you go to you can get your spare parts easily. But also it comes back to having the right team to handle the equipment.
