I did take time to have a re-think after the events of 9/11. However,on balance I believe it is still the right thing to do. Like guncontrol, if we ban weapons only the police and criminals will have them.Banning encryption or anonymity is not going to make criminals stopusing encryption and attempting to be anonymous. It is almost laughablefor anyone to be so naive as to believe that passing any law would makethe least difference to a terrorist.I still believe that the individual should be allowed to choose, not theGovernment on his behalf.
