To be paid, is there a minimum length of time for each online session?
The length of each conversation varies, depending on the type of provider. For most providers, the base length of a session is 10 minutes. For behavioral health specialists, such as psychologists and psychiatrists, the base length is 20 minutes. The patient may end the conversation prior to the allotted time. If the patient decides to end the conversation, you will be paid for the full time that the member is provided. If you decide to end the conversation prior to the allotted time, you will not be paid. If you feel you need more time with the patient, you may extend the session for three minutes (most providers) or 10 minutes (behavioral health specialists) at no additional charge to the patient, and no additional payment to you. The provider can also choose to extend the time with an additional charge to the patient and an additional payment to the provider.
