Tips on how to get into Brown University.?
It is doubtful that you could get into Brown with a 3.5 unless you have some REALLY good extracurricular activities. Sports is probably not very helpful – the Ivy league schools do not give athletic scholarships and sports are definitely not high on their list. I have tutored several kids who got into Brown, but I have also tutored a very nice kid from a good HS who had a 3.99 unweighted with 12 APs, a gold medal at a national science competition and a gold medal at a state music competition, and 2050 SATs. Brown waitlisted him. Go for it, but have a plan B.
