Tiger Woods apology, is it time to give another newcomer a chance at the sponsorship deals?
If there is another newcomer which the media has exalted to the level of an idolized role model, then yes, by all means. As for Tiger Woods, I sincerely doubt that it was his goal to be exalted to the level of an idolized role model… the media did that to him, howbeit he profited from that status by his endorsement deals. So the media gave and the media took away. Emasculating himself the way he did today with a grovelling apology, to everyone except his mistresses, should be enough to even the score with media and should be enough to satisfy the media’s bloodlust and hopefully cause a less frenzied media scorn of him as he gets back to his primary goal… to be the champion of his game.
