This shaft is 32″, what is the average length of a lacrosse head?
Answer Dana, All of the companies sell sticks in the correct length but if you wanted to make sure, shafts are allowed to be 30″ to 32″. The total stick length for a short stick must be 40″-42″ but if you buy the shaft and head from a retailer the lengths will fall into that range. When buying him a new stick I would suggest buying the head unstrung and getting it custom strung with the professionals at ZB Lacrosse Company. The stringing that comes when you buy a head (factory stringing) is terrible and would greatly affect his play.
