This morning HR created my new employee’s ID; can his MyConcordia account also be set up today?

Unfortunately, no. Once HR enters the new employee’s ID into the system, it will take 24 hours for the HR system to communicate with the IITS system and associate the new ID with a netname. It is not possible to manually override the system, as the process is run overnight.
