This benefits neither the bather nor an assistant. In an emergency, there is no advantage to having the bather out of the bath on the floor or other area of the home. It is not difficult to remove a person from a safety bath with an inward swinging door, once the bath has drained. Care providers can easily access the bather standing along side, in front, or behind the person.
