A small amount of static is to be expected when the CardMaster™ card readers are in use. If you find the loud static sound to occur only when adjusting the volume level there may be a problem with the volume knob. However, if the entire unit has a high static level, the unit may be defective and you will need to contact our Customer Service Dept. for a replacement unit if it is still under warranty. An alternative to using the CardMaster is to utilize the AV Tutor™ digital card reader to enhance language learning and speech therapy with its variety of digital cartridge programs.
