The initial pressure in a bladder system is generally adjusted by pinching the end of the transmission tubing slightly before pushing it onto the stem of a solid-state sensor…the recommended initial pressure for an installed bladder sensor is +1-5 mmHg, although readings are corrected for any initial pressure. Pressing the ZERO THE BLADDERS button on the Collect Data window records & subtracts the initial bladder pressure for each channel, providing corrections for subsequent pressure measurements.
