The characteristics of natural as well as man-made radiation are similar and both have similar effects. Radiation either from the nature or from man-made within the permissible limits has no adverse effect on human body. All efforts are being made to limit the release of radiation from the nuclear power plant as low as possible. From our operating stations it is observed that the release of radiation is around 5% of the background radiation which is well within the permissible limits.
