There is a backlash when Rand and Moridin cross One Power and True Power balefire beams in Shadar Logoth. Is this what caused the unpredictabilty of the saidin afterwards?
There are actually three different effects. The odd behavior of saidar and saidin beginning in The Path of Daggers was caused by the overuse of the Bowl of the Winds. Misbehaving weaves are not mentioned after The Path of Daggers so that effect has apparently faded out. See the discussion in the Wheel of Time FAQ for details. Rand’s dizzy spells seem to be unique to him and the cause is uncertain. We’ll have to wait for Knife of Dreams to see if we learn more. The third effect is that weaves (of saidar at least) are weakening and failing. Again, we don’t know for sure but it might be caused by the overall touch of the Dark One. See the discussion on saidar failing in the Wheel of Time FAQ.
