Fido most likely has roundworms, a common intestinal parasite in dogs. Wondering how he got roundworms? The four most common ways a dog gets roundworms are consuming worm eggs from soil, eating an animal with roundworms, nursing from a mother dog with roundworms, or puppies can be infected during embryonic development if the mother dog has roundworms.
