There are six sections in the F2 Study Guide, is each one of equal importance as far as the exam is concerned?

The six sections are not represented by equal numbers of questions (or marks) in the exam. The advice to students is to analyse the F2 pilot paper to identify how many of the questions (and marks) relate to each Study Guide section. The examiner has confirmed that for the exams set up to and including December 2009, the weighting of the Study Guide sections will remain very close to that within the pilot paper.
