There are six g.p.a.’s listed on my transcript. How do I know which one to use on my college application?
Most CSUs and all UCs and most 4-year colleges use only college prep grades from sophomore and junior years to calculate the college application g.p.a. Some schools, such as CalPoly, use freshmen grades in college prep courses as well. Most transcripts will refer to the college prep g.p.a. as “Academic g.p.a” and break it down as a 9 – 12 or 10 – 12. For most colleges, use your Academic 10 – 12 g.p.a. for college application.
